EMK3 Appoints Professional Services Manager

Houston, TX - EMK3 is pleased to announce the appointment of Glenn Shearer to the position of Professional Services Manager, to be located in EMK3’s The Woodlands office.

"The Professional Services Manager role is an important one for EMK3, with its primary focus being the ongoing management of implementation and services," said Gary Wittsche, president of EMK3. "In turn, it demonstrates and upholds our company's commitment to work with our clients to ensure they are getting the most out of our oil and gas marketing solutions."

Working across EMK3’s range of solutions, Glenn will be providing professional services such as implementation, business process and business re-engineering consulting to clients in addition to identifying product enhancements as required.

"Business process consulting in IT is really a matter of aligning the software with the actual business needs," says Glenn. "A lot of people talk about the software being the system, but it's not - it's just part of the system. To successfully implement an IT solution, the business process, the participants in the process and the software technology must all align. They are all part of the system and that's what I hope to demonstrate to EMK3’s clients when I work with them.”

Glenn comes to EMK3 from a 10-year career with Burlington Resources. While at Burlington, Glenn held various positions in the Marketing Department, responsible for scheduling, day trading, volume control, contract administration, gas transportation, invoicing, cash collection and supply management. Prior to Burlington, Glenn spent 20 years at United Gas Pipeline in a variety of roles. Starting as an engineer, Glenn held several management positions including Asst. VP of Sales.

Glenn holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Louisiana Tech University, and is a registered engineer, State of Texas.
